I dabble in mostly watercolor art--be it with paints or water-based markers. I like the watercolor look. Here are some tools I use and that work pretty well for my needs.
I've tried a few different brands and Tombow is the most flexible and practical since it has two sizes.
Tombow Dual Brush Pen
Arches is my fav though there are some other okay ones. I prefer the block and the smaller sizes. Cold pressed is my fav.
Arches Watercolor Paper
Pricy but very absorbent. I learned of them from a talented artist I follow on Instagram.

A great synthetic option. I love these, and the handles are “velvety” like they say.
Princeton Velvetouch Synthetic Brushes and Sets
My go-to watercolor set.
Mungyo 48 Colors Watercolor Set
A great set for travel. The water brush has really grown on me.
Sakura Koi Pocket Field Sketch Kit - 24 Colors
At first I didn't like these but they've grown on me for quick painting with less setup. They also work well with blending Tombow and other water-based markers.

I've used these since college, I think. Good. :)

A fun alternative to traditional watercolor paints. These seem to work--I haven't tried a lot of brands, though.

Michael's has lots of art supplies if you want to go into a store and look at them in person. The best part is that they have a whole section of art pens that you can buy solo, so you can replace a color you like or test out some different brands wit...
Art Pens | Ballpoint, Gel & More
A good set of fine-liners to have. They are alcohol-based so you can use them with watercolors and they won't run.
Micron Pens
