Ninth House (Alex Stern, #1) by Leigh Bardugo

Historical/magical fantasy following a group of thieves. The characters are witty, the plot is twisty, it’ll keep you turning pages!
The Lies of Locke Lamora (Gentleman Bastard, #1) by Scott Lynch
Dystopian sci-fi
This was supposed to be fiction, not an instruction manual!

Brutal but beautiful retelling of a classic, but from a different perspective than Achilles’ version.

I know this is a rumor and will never be confirmed but just like the conspiracy that Shakespeare was a woman, I love the idea of a female pope.

This series is a guilty pleasure for me. A woman offered as a bride to a warlord in exchange for peace. I love the way this author writes.

This look at the Vietnam war through the eyes of a nurse was heart breaking and yet in places, heart warming. Loved every single page even if some of it was horrific.
The Women: A Novel - Hannah, Kristin: Books
This book is atmospheric and gothic with the house being a main character. I loved it.
