Started with cheap tissue paper that went flat the second I set anything on it. Crinkle cut changed everything because it actually holds shape and cradles items without collapsing under a candle or a bottle of wine.

Crinkle cut is great for structure, but tissue shred gives you that wispy, soft look. I use it as a top layer to make everything feel more polished, especially for spa baskets or anything with skincare.

Went through a phase where I wanted every basket to look like it came from a farmers market. Raffia and grass shred nailed that vibe without me having to actually forage anything from my backyard.

Plain paper is fine for casual gifts, but when I started doing holiday and corporate baskets, metallic shred made everything look three times more expensive. One handful of gold shred and suddenly you're a professional gifter.

Dumping one color in a basket is fine, but learning to layer two or three colors is what made people start asking me to make their baskets for them. These combos are the ones I come back to over and over.

The shred is only half the battle. Without the right basket, wrap, and tape, your beautiful color mix ends up looking like a craft store exploded. These are the tools I reach for every single time.
