Most shelters you foster for are able to give the supplies you need to care for kittens, but I like to take the burden off of them when I can. Petsmart is my go-to for food, litter, toys, treats, etc.

Shallow food dishes are great for kittens! Especially ones that are still weaning and learning to eat big kid food! If a bowl has steep sides it can bother their whiskers so they may not want to eat out of it.

Always check with your local shelter first before you order more food for your foster kittens! Ideally you want to feed them the same dry food. You can change their food but it has to be done gradually as recommended on the package and by the shelter...
Fostering a mom & babies is actually pretty easy because mom is doing most of the work! But you’ll want to make sure she has a quiet, calm, and safe space. I recommend having these things to get started!
You will want a L or XL playpen for a mom & babies. That way you can put a larger cat bed, her litter box, and food and water in there.
Even if babies are nursing just fine, be sure to weigh them daily to make sure they are gaining weight!
