I recommend booking a timed ticket in advance. I like going early in the morning or later in the afternoon when the crowds feel more manageable.

These are the spots I always recommend when someone wants to see a different side of Rome. Quieter, cooler, and full of little surprises you won’t find on every list.
I loved visiting the Baths of Caracalla - it’s huge and way less crowded than the main landmarks.
