👩🍼 Postpartum Essentials (For Mom)
These are the core essentials that genuinely supported me during postpartum recovery.
Simple, practical items that I reached for daily 🤍
These were a lifesaver for me during postpartum bleeding.
Much more comfortable and hassle-free than using regular underwear in the early days.
Evereve Maternity Period Panties XL-XXL, 10 Pcs
Another good option if you’re looking for disposable maternity panties.
I’m sharing this as an alternative in case you want to compare and choose what suits you best.
Sirona Maternity Panties L-XL Pack of 10
Loose, soft, comfortable clothes mattered more than anything else postpartum.
I used what I already had at home and bought some from local market, I have added the link and photos for reference— no need to buy anything new if you have them at home.
Anuom Women's Cotton Floral Maternity Kurti
I already had these at home and used them constantly.
They were extremely helpful while feeding the baby and supporting my body while resting.
Extra Pillows (Already at home)
Any regular water bottle works.
I didn’t buy a special one — keeping it nearby helped me stay hydrated throughout the day. You may need warm water so insulated bottles are also helpful.

👶 Newborn Essentials (Actually Used)
Just the basics I actually used for my newborn in the early days.
No extras — only what felt necessary and gentle 🤍
This is the one thing you’ll use constantly from day one.
I preferred having diapers ready before the baby arrived. These are my most frequently bought items.
Huggies Complete Comfort Wonder Pants NB/XS 90
I found unscented wipes to be the gentlest option for my baby’s skin.
Simple and fragrance-free worked best for us. You can also buy this on brand website they give 50% off generally on first order.
Mother Sparsh 99% Pure Water Baby Wipes - 72 pcs x 6
You don’t need many clothes initially.
Just a couple of soft, comfortable outfits were enough in the early days. You can use any old clothes as they best for newborn babies. I loved these onesie sets as they are so soft and comfortable for baby.
Appu Kids Baby Onesies & Rompers Pack of-3
This was used daily for warmth, comfort, and sleep.
A regular soft blanket or swaddle from home worked perfectly fine. If you want to buy I have added my choice.
LuvLap Cotton Muslin Baby Swaddle Set, 3 Pack
I ended up using these much more than I expected.
Soft towels or cloths from home were completely sufficient. If you want to buy, I have added my choice.
LuvLap Cotton Baby Washcloths, 7 Pcs, 22x22 cm
I had to buy a bottle as initially baby was formula fed, so you can buy this as a backup option. This is much better than options you buy last minute.
LuvLap Anti-Colic Wide Neck Baby Bottle 150ml
This wasn’t essential for the hospital but became useful once we were back home.
OYO BABY 3 Pack Waterproof Fleece Sheets 50x70cm
👜 Hospital Bag Basics
These are the hospital bag items that helped me feel prepared and comfortable during delivery and recovery.
Based on my personal experience 🤍
A simple but important item.
Hospital plug points can be far, so having a charger close by was very helpful.
Phone Charger (Already at home)
Keeping my hair out of my face made a big difference, especially during feeding and rest.
I just used what I already had at home.
Hair Ties / Claw Clips (Already at home)
This added extra comfort while resting or sleeping.
A regular bedsheet from home worked perfectly fine.
Light Bedsheet and Blanket(Already at home)
Hospital food timings can be unpredictable.
Having familiar snacks from home was very comforting postpartum.

My feet felt cold often, especially at night.
A simple pair of socks and warm slippers from home helped me stay comfortable.
Socks and slippers (Already at home)
I personally didn’t like the hospital-provided clothes, so carrying my own gown helped me feel more comfortable and at ease. You can use any old maxi gown that you wear at home.
Birthing Gown
I found it helpful to keep my head covered, especially right after delivery.
A warm cap for winters or a cotton cap/dupatta for summers worked well.
Head Cover (Already at home)
Keeping all medical documents, ID proof, and insurance papers together helped reduce last-minute stress.
Any simple folder works
