Mother Culture- my era in motherhood
Have you heard of mother culture? I didn't until about 3 years ago.
Its a practice to refill yourself before you pour into your children, your husband, your home or your farm. It ensures your needs are met, you realign your purpose, you practice what you teach and give yourself some grace.
This involves daily intentional and self nourishing care to prevent oneself from becoming weary or over extended.
Its ideal to have several different levels of books going. 1 hard read- nonfiction, educational, 2 moderate read- diy, self-help, motivational, new skill, 3 fun, fantasy or light hearted.
A hobby, new or old. Pick something up to learn or become skilled at.
And self care. For some its making sure they get in a shower, for others is routinely getting a mani or pedi. It doesn't matter how much you spend, what matters is how it affects you. Does it make you happy that you set time aside to paint your toes? Do you like waking up a bit earlier to get your hair done or make up on?
