Hot Tea and History

You've seen “bring back yearning” pretty much everywhere lately. T-shirts, mugs, instagram captions. WELL boy do I have something for you with these book recommendations! They just scream, bleed and sweat yearning… and that's the way I like it!

Literature has and always will be a window to our past, present and future. Fiction isn't just a way to pass time, it isn't “fake”, and it certainly isn't shallow. It's a mine of information, and I'm a big believer of shaping our minds through fiction. I therefore compiled all my favorite books that encouraged me to either research about certain topics, or helped me further understand them… and I hope they will have the same effect for you!

And this has been going on for a year? How dare you not tell me anything? These pieces are so so so beautiful, and I love that some of them aren't too obvious! Some of these would work great for fall and winter, I'm just stocking up on warm and fuzzy things for the season! If you're like me, you might like to take a look at some of these pieces! We're past midterms (THANK GOD) so I thought I'd make a list of the things that helped me stay sane this semester! This list range from backpacks to stationery so hopefully you'll be able to take away something from it. I'll be adding things as I go and updating this list of course! In the meantime, I'm sending you all my good vibes for the rest of this semester, especially as the days get darker sooner and snow starts slowing down public transport. Cheers!

Consider this list a vision board, considering I'm nowhere NEAR the budget required to acquire 5000$ heels right now! Still, I kept seeing these models pop up on my feed, and wanted to compile all of my favs in one list!

Looking for a book to get you out of a reading slump? You've come to the right place. This is a short list of some books that have allowed me to decompress in between heavy worldbuilding fantasy series!!! I love my tragedies and political intrigues, but sometimes I just need to shut my brain and let the whimsy do the talking! If you can see yourself in this little blurb, this is your sign to treat yourself to a little reading sesh I know you deserve it!

If there's anything this year taught me, it's that you can't wait around for someone to come along to finally start loving yourself. You are a beautiful soul, and when it comes to quality time, there are so many ways to have fun and feel your best. This list has a couple ideas of fun nights you could have solo, but please remember you do NOT need to spend money to have quality time. I listed some of my favorites in case you might want inspiration or in case you want to add products to your collection (baking essentials, movie recommendations, etc). You can't put a price tag on loving yourself, so have some fun, enjoy yourself for a night, or rather the rest of your life. This is what I mean when I say “date yourself”. As someone who's unfortunately not able to sit in silence, I've listened to my faire share of podcasts! I've separated them in four different categories, which represent different activities you might want entertainment for! There's something for everyone in there! I'm talking history, science, philosophy, true crime, good vibes, lifestyle, productivity, health, storytelling, or just a good laugh! Get your earphones and get to listening! NOW!

There's a sale going on right now in Old Navy (CA), and you best believe I'm taking advantage of it! Because sharing is caring, here are a lot of shirts I found really cute to wear with jeans, or just wear at home with your favorite sweatpants. The women's shirt were absolutely horrendous when I went in person, but the men's shirt honestly fit very well, I seriously couldn't tell the difference. So even though some of these are men graphic tees, I bought them for myself and girl friends and we all thought they were gorgeous!

Keeping these recs a secret for any longer would have been a crime, since these teas have - unironically - changed my life. I therefore come in peace, offering this gift to the world, as a fellow tea lover. This list is therefore a result of YEARS of going to DAVIDsTEA a little too many times to try and find the best flavours. I unfortunately will be able to accept no criticism on these specific flavours.

I have traveled the earth, braved the seven seas and walked through every desert to provide this list of romantasy books where women shine, rule empires and show there is more than one way to be strong, to live a fulfilled life.
