British comedies, dramas, mysteries, and quiz shows
It’s “bouquet” NOT “bucket”! Hyacinth Bucket is a middle class woman who is comically aspirational and gets into all kinds of binds because of it.

The remake of this show is so beautiful and gentle—it’s the equivalent of a warm hug on a cozy evening while sipping a cup of tea. Beautiful scenery of the Yorkshire dales!

If you love dry British humor, you need to watch this show. Two men who do metal detecting are on the search for their big break—a buried Anglo Saxon treasure.

A dark and moody murder mystery series set in the Shetland islands but featuring characters who shine light in such a barren landscape. The scenery is beautiful, the Scottish accents are musical, and the writing is impeccable.

This comedy is one of the wittiest shows ever written; the dialogue is sharp, the acting and delivery are perfect, and the characters are engaging.

David Suchet IS Hercule Poirot! His look, his accent, and especially his understanding of the character make him the best actor ever to have portrayed the famous Belgian detective.

An early ‘00s gem of a comedy drama that takes place in the highlands of Scotland. A bit cheesy at times but a light, fun watch with beautiful scenery.

Genuinely heartwarming, this is such a comfort show. Nothing TOO terrible ever happens, and things always get resolved one way or another. Lovely sets and costumes and very sweet storylines.
