Our favorite kid-friendly places! When people ask me where they should take their kids, nieces/nephews, grandkids, etc., these are the top places I recommend that my kids love.

Indoors
Listen, I don’t need to explain that Phoenix is unbearably hot. So for those days where you need to get out of the house but it’s 115°F, these are the best places to take your kids.
I’ve been here countless times for birthday parties and it’s always a great time. There’s multiple obstacle courses, a bunch of arcade games, and go karts (which I think cost extra). My kids loved it!
Urban Air Adventure & Trampoline Park | Peoria, AZ
This has also been a popular spot for birthday parties! My kids loved the giant trampolines and played nonstop for our two hours. We’ll definitely be back!
Uptown Jungle - Peoria, AZ
My kids LOVED this place. It was $33 per person for two hours, and parents don’t need to pay if you’re just following your kid around. There’s a small section for kids 5 and under, plus a mini arcade in the back. They also gave us a bunch of $5 off c...
Slick City Action Park
This place is insane in the best way. Tons of arcade games and claw machines, bowling, and the sports section upstairs. It’s very easy to spend a lot of money here, but it’s SO fun!!
For those days when you just want to get out of the house, take the kids to the mall, buy some pretzel bites, and wander around looking at everything. The kids play section is ok, but there’s also a train and you can zip around on the little ride on ...
Arrowhead Towne Center
This B&N hasn’t been touched by the remodel yet, so it’s still got the classic B&N feel! Grabbing a drink and walking around the store is a fun and nostalgic experience for everybody.
Barnes & Noble - Surprise, AZ
Outdoors
For those days where it’s unbelievably beautiful and not 110°F! These locations are highly frequented by kids on the west side.
We’ve held so many birthday parties and have attended so many parties here, it’s a really nice park with up-to-date equipment and a well-kept space. They also hold free events like concerts during the non-summer months.
Paloma Community Park | City of Peoria
Another park we’ve held birthday parties and attended many parties, this park has recently been upgraded and the equipment is really nice!
Rio Vista Community Park | City of Peoria
The trail off of 67th Ave has a very slight incline, a low “mountain” top, and is a very easy trail for small kids. The trail behind that first hill is also easy but will give you more height, if your kids want something a bit more challenging.
Thunderbird Conservation Park | City of Glendale, AZ
This is my favorite zoo in the state! It has gotten quite expensive, so check places like Groupon or their socials for discounts. (I believe weekdays are cheapest.) But it’s so fun and there’s lots to do!
