Map
The kids could spend the entire day here! So fun for littles and even our pre-teen kids enjoyed it.The water area is their favorite. It is located inside Navy Pier. You can grab a bite to eat and explore the rest of the pier too.
Chicago Children's Museum
They have a variety of indoor and outdoor activities for the entire family to enjoy. We've also celebrated birthdays here. If the weather permits, make sure to take a spin in the bumper cars.
In The Game Hollywood Park
FREE admission to the zoo and farm (parking fee). The primate exhibit and silverback gorilla is a family favorite especially for our son.
Lincoln Park Zoo
It is a bit pricey but worth it! Bigger and many animal exhibits. The animal displays that are set up are incredible and add a special touch to the experience. When we went they had life size dinosaurs throughout and it was amazing!
Brookfield Zoo
Filled with interactive activities for littles! Our twin girls' favorites were playing dress up and the hands-on area where they can milk a lifesize pretend cow.
Children's Museum in Oak Lawn
Home of the Chicago White Sox! You'll find me and the kids munching on hot dogs, pretzels, and ice cream! They put on a beautiful fireworks show if the Sox win.
Rate Field - Chicago White Sox
Our first baseball game outing as a family was here! The kids loved doing the wave, clapping and singing along, eating hot dogs, and watching their team win! Go Cubs!
Wrigley Field
Home of the Chicago Bulls! Family-friendly and entertaining to see the dance team perform and contests on the court. Make sure to try their cheeseburgers from the food court.
United Center
Their shows are very unique! Check out their list of shows online before you go to determine if you want to take your littles. My pre-teens enjoyed it especially the koi fish pond at the bottom of the stairs.
Museum Of Contemporary Art Chicago
If your kids enjoy art history, this is the place to take them! From Picasso to Frank Stella to stainglass art to ancient Chinese artifacts there is so much to see and learn about.
The Art Institute of Chicago
The best time to go is during the Christmas season. You have to check out their "Christmas Around the World" tree displays. They are breathtaking and a core memory for my kids!
