Books I vividly remember reading as a child (you might too) and highly recommend you read to your kids.
I don't remember exactly what happens in this book but I remember reading it when I was 6 and loving it, so I recommend.

I still love this book to this day and made my friends read it recently. The illustrations are really nice as well.
Barry the Fish with Fingers by Sue Hendra, Paul Linnet
This is a basic book that I think everyone read but it's really good and the illustration is so pretty
The Very Hungry Caterpillar
I occasionally recite this to myself, because it has stuck in my memory for years. I think everyone read this, but it was really good. It got me through DofE as well, chanting it with my friend
We're Going on a Bear Hunt
I think this book is quite funny. I can't really remember the plot but I remember reading it many times and loving it
Five Minutes' Peace by Jill Murphy
I LOVE this book and reread it recently. I can still remember the main phrase that is repeated throughout I think. It rhymes, which is really impressive actually. The plot is great too
Superworm by Julia Donaldson, Axel Scheffler
I read loads of books from this series and loved them. They are about a dog, but I can't remember much else. The illustration is really nice though.
