Pick Your Adventure
If you go on Wednesdays, parking is free, although there may not be many people with booths open. They have a playground for kids to play on while you shop. It's a good place to get some fresh veggies, fresh air, and yummy food.
Berryessa Flea Market | San Jose EST. 1960
Such a beautiful place to explore and learn about ocean conservation! The tickets are pretty expensive, but they offer yearly passes, discounts/free admission for SNAP/Medi-Cal card holders, and various free days throughout the year.
Monterey Bay Aquarium
A decent place to get away from the hustle and bustle of Santa Cruz, California. There's a pretty neat koi pond tucked away amongst the trails if you want to look for it!
Pogonip Open Space Preserve
This is a very cool spot outside of Santa Cruz that makes for a pleasant day trip. It's very kid friendly and dog-friendly.
Rio Del Mar State Beach
An absolutely breathtaking area just outside of San Jose, California. It took my group around 3.5 hours to hike the trail. It was a strenuous hike, but very, very rewarding!
Skyline Ridge Preserve
My kid's love this place, and I'm not going to lie, so do I. Try the 1020 ice cream if you like coffee ice cream!
