I’m probably going to get judged for saying this but sometimes it takes a modern retelling for me to actually get interested in a classic’s story.

I don’t know why the bookish community sleeps on novellas so much, like a short standalone story that you can read in one setting?? In my opinion, that's the PERFECT palette cleanser in between bigger/heavier reads, so here are 5 fantasy/sci-fi novellas that I binged in one go and had my reading brain totally reset for my next epic series.
