I tried baking soda, I tried ice cubes, I tried that thing where you shove lemons down there. None of it lasted more than a day. These are the products that finally knocked out the smell for real.

The smell wasn't just in the disposal. Turns out the rubber splash guard and the inside walls of the drain were coated in a film I didn't even know existed. These tools let me actually scrub the parts I couldn't reach.

My old splash guard was cracked and holding onto smells like a grudge. Replacing it was a five-minute job that made a bigger difference than any cleaner.

Cleaners fix the problem today. Enzyme treatments keep it from coming back next month. I started using these on a schedule and haven't had a smell relapse since March.

While I was fixing the root cause, I needed something to handle the smell in the meantime. These sat near or under my sink and actually absorbed the odor instead of just covering it with fake lavender.

Turns out my dishwasher was backwashing funky water into the sink through a shared drain line. Cleaning the dishwasher was the missing piece I kept overlooking.

Sometimes the smell isn't about cleaning. It's a plumbing issue. My P-trap was dry and sewer gas was literally wafting into my kitchen. These products fixed structural problems no amount of scrubbing could touch.
