I used to burn soup in a thin pot my roommate left behind in 2019. Switching to the right cookware meant I could actually walk away for ten minutes without disaster.

Leftover vegetables on their own taste like nothing. These are what turn a random pile of almost-expired produce into something I actually look forward to eating.

Making a big pot of soup is pointless if you just let the leftovers die in the fridge inside a random takeout container with a missing lid. Been there too many times.

Sometimes Sunday rolls around and the vegetables are already too far gone. These buy me an extra three or four days so everything actually makes it to soup night.
