Romantasy
This is the first romantasy series I've read with such complex worldbuilding. Also, Lahaba will make you cry!
Crescent City Series by Sarah J. Maas
I don't usually like re-telling of fairy tales but this series does it so well!
The Lunar Chronicles Series by Marissa Meyer
I stayed up all night reading this book even though I was already sleep deprived after giving birth. The graphic audiobooks are also immersive.
The Empyrean Series by Rebecca Yarros
The main character is one of the strongest I’ve read about. She’s witty, fierce, kind, and pulls off plans that amaze me.
Throne of Glass
I thought I wouldn’t like this book but the friendships kept growing on me and the cliffhangers keep me wanting to read.
Kindred's Curse Series by Penn Cole
The only reason why I’m still reading this book is for Carion. 😂😂 No, he’s one of the reasons. The world building here is intense.
Fae & Alchemy Series by Callie Hart
Murder Mystery
This is murder series with a Filipina pastry chef helping to solve the mysteries. It’s lighthearted and cute. I really like all of the interesting recipes Lila comes up with. The book always leaves me hungry for her sweets in real life.
Tita Rosie's Kitchen Mystery Series by Mia P. Manansala
Fantasy
If you decide to get the HP books, get this one. There are beautiful illustrations and interactive elements.
Harry Potter Books 1-3 (Mina Lima)
This is the series I keep reading over and over again over the years.
Harry Potter Paperback Box Set (Books 1-7)
I read it because I heard Emma Watson liked it but then I started reading it and really enjoyed Kelsea’s growth.
The Queen of the Tearling by Erika Johansen
This series was unexpectedly charming! It’s fantasy held in the Victorian Era.
Soulless (Parasol Protectorate, #1) by Gail Carriger
