Back in early June I had a Left Renal Vein Transposition Surgery to uncompress the vein due to Nutcracker Syndrome. Unfortunately after the initial surgery, I had some complications that required me to be admitted and go through an emergency surgery; that still failed and left me needing a renal autotransplant. Despite everything going on, I am someone who is by nature optimistic and try’s to stay within a routine to keep my sanity. So here’s a list of my recommendations for items that may be useful to you after an open abdominal surgery. By no means are any of these items required, but they could potentially make your life a little easier in the post-op stage of your recovery. *And as a reminder I am not a medical professional and this is by no means medical advice. These are just the items that made my life easier while recovering. Please talk to your doctor though if you are unsure if you can use any of these post-op.*
