Hair trends I’m watching for 2027

I’m already saving the hair ideas coming out of the Spring/Summer 2027 shows. The mood feels much more expressive than perfectly “done”,  think low ponytails, textured crimps, romantic updos, knots, side parts and bigger volume. These are the looks and runway references I want to keep watching as Fashion Month continues.

This is my main 2027 hair reference right now. Crimped texture, romantic updos, knots, volume and side parts all feel like a real move away from everyone wearing the exact same sleek hairstyle.

The low ponytail showing up in so many different versions is what made me save this. I like that the trend can be sleek, coiled, knotted or much more relaxed depending on the person wearing it.

I already wear low ponytails, so this is one of the easiest 2027 directions for me to imagine trying. The different knots, folds and clips make such a simple style feel much more intentional.

I wasn’t expecting to save crimped hair again, but the runway versions feel completely different from the old-school all-over crimp. Used selectively, the texture can actually look polished and architectural.

This version is much closer to something I’d try. Keeping most of the hair sleek and adding controlled ridges gives the texture interest without making the whole style feel retro.

The hair direction here feels very wearable: partless styling and low ponies rather than complicated editorial hair. I like trends I can actually translate into a normal day.
