RØDE NT1 5th Gen Studio Condenser Mic Black
This is the microphone I use most of the time. An Emmy-award-winning audio engineer told me to get this one over the TLM103, so I won't argue with that!

These are must-haves in a pro home studio. Sound-proofing and treatment are the hardest part, but the most important factor in good sound. I started in a walk-in closet with acoustic foam, and later graduated to buying a booth. Grow as you go!
