Large park with various routes perfect for walking or biking. Vast amount of fields to enjoy a picnic or barbecue. Beautiful scenery and close enough to the city to enjoy the skyline but doesn’t have the big city crowds even on a good day.
The Don River Valley Park

This is what I would class as the perfect cycling or running spot. Amazing views of the city and lake too. Typically it’s not too busy as it’s a fairly remote area but I can see how getting to and from the park may be an issue if you have no access t...
Tommy Thompson Park

Amazing park, very clean and modern area of the city. Sitting on the hill by the lake and taking in the surroundings is a vibe within itself.
Downsview Park

The perfect sized park for a waterfront stroll with some skyline views of the city across the bay. Seeing golden hour at this spot is a big recommendation, stunning views.
Humber Bay Park West

A very similar park to Don River Valley Park but I would say this is more for the people who like to avoid the downtown area or people as a whole. Not a great amount of people here when I visited even on a Saturday. Amazing bike trail and the bridge ...

Basically Canada’s version of Dover. Stunning scenery with a small but scenic walking trail. We walked from Scarborough GO station and maps led us to getting stuck at the top of the cliffside, so maybe check your route beforehand lol.
Bluffer's Park and Beach

Beautiful flower display with wooden bridges across the stream. This park gives a very Japanese feel to it, I would say the best time to visit is early spring or fall seasons
Toronto Botanical Garden

An amazing little park in the heart of the city with some of the best views of the CN Tower. People come here to take in the scenery, have a picnic or take part in group yoga/fitness classes. One of my favourite spots in the City.
Trillium Park

One of Toronto’s newest parks on the east side of downtown. Honestly I think the park is great, but there is still a lot of work to do as there is still a lot of construction throughout the park and greenery yet to grow. I think in summer 2026 it wil...
Biidaasige Park

Definitely the most notorious sunset spot in the city, and rightfully so. Watching the sun fall over the skyscrapers during golden hour is incredible. Besides the sunset, I think there are better parks in the city to visit if you are looking for natu...
