I love using this fun, interactive game at the beginning of the school year as I am teaching letters and sounds.  We all sit in a circle and take turns reaching into the mystery box to pick out an item.  After saying what the item is, you have to match the beginning sound with the corresponding letter on the game board.  My students love this game and ask to play it all the time!
