If it’s your first time going to the beach, these are things I wish I knew to bring. Simple, useful and not expensive.
Big enough for everything. I didn’t realize how much stuff I bring until I actually went to the beach.
SCOUT Beach Bag
You think you won’t burn… and then you do. This is the one thing I’d never skip again.
Sunscreen Cream - SPF 30+
Dries super fast and doesn’t stay wet forever like regular towels. Also way easier to pack.
Quick-Dry Beach Towels
The sun is way stronger than you expect. I literally couldn’t keep my eyes open without these.
Sunglasses
Hot sand is no joke. These saved my feet every single time.
Flip Flops / Sandals
Not just cute — actually makes a huge difference when the sun gets too strong.
Wide Brim Sun Hat / Cap
I got thirsty way faster than I expected. Having cold water with me was a lifesaver.
Reusable Water Bottle
I was so stressed about my phone near water… this made everything way more relaxed.
Waterproof Phone Pouch
Perfect when you want a break from the sun or feel a bit cold after swimming.
Lightweight Coverup
Beach food is expensive and not always great. Having something small with me helped a lot.
Fruit Bars - That's it.
For wet swimsuit or clothes. Otherwise everything in your bag gets damp.
Wet Bag / Plastic Pouch
I didn’t even think about this, but my lips got burned too. Never again.
Lip Balm with SPF
Wind + saltwater = chaos. This was such a small thing but so useful.
Hair Tie / Claw Clip
