Macrame is a beautiful art, and, for me, it's my therapy. You can follow a pattern, or make your own creations. There's so much to learn about this amazing craft. From plant hangers, wall decorations, hat hangers, fruit hammocks, curtains…there's so many options! These are some supplies I personally use and there's a lot more I plan to get.
I just recently started macrame. It's waay more than just a bunch of knots. There's so much to learn - lark's head knot, square knot, half knot spiral, double half hitch knot…and that's just a few. On this board, I'm listing some of the cord and other items I like to use, and also, a couple of books for beginners, that I found helpful.
