When I think about my ideal spring weekend day in my hometown, this is where my mind goes! I'd start out eating and drinking my way through Frenchtown, head to the Farmer's Market, check out the riverfront and Main Street and then hit the flower shop...

Breakfast on the patio is the best way to start the day! If you love a true local diner feel you will be right at home here. I've never had anything I didn't like. Cash only so come prepared!
Lady Di's Diner
The BEST coffee in town. A great community atmosphere, phenomenal single origin roasts, and the best pastries. Grab a cup to enjoy and a bag of beans to get you through the rest of the week!
Course Coffee Roasters
The cutest cafe in downtown St. Charles and they have it all - great food, coffee & pastries!
La Belle Vie / The Cafe at Frenchtown
Stopping by Mr. Meowski's is a must for a loaf of sourdough and some pastries. The best and most authentic croissants I've had since I visited Paris. Do not leave without one of his giant cookies - SO good! Get there early though - he sells out frequ...
Mr. Meowski's Sourdough
If the weather's nice you can expect that the roll-up doors are open at Good News, bringing in the beautiful weather! Located just across the street from LaBelle Vie and Course Coffee roasters, stop in for one of their beers and a wood-fired pizza.
Good News Brewing Company
The perfect end to a spring day in St. Charles is definitely with a concrete under the gazebo at Lyon's frozen custard. If you aren't into frozen custard they have Dole whip and some other treats as well. A St. Charles staple!
Lyons Frozen Custard
Spring weather calls for grilling and Valenti's is our go-to for the meat! We've never been disappointed.

If you're in the mood for a hike or trail ride, Bangert Island is a great choice. Choose a short or longer trail and enjoy great views of the Missouri River and some local wildlife.

If the Lions are in town, it's worth it to catch a game at Lindenwood University. Admissions are free and the campus is beautiful!
College Baseball
If the kids need to burn off some energy, Blanchette park is a great choice. There's a large playground, a large loop drive with sidewalks that's perfect for bike riding, scootering or rollerblading, and a beautiful garden area to visit too.
Blanchette Park
We love walking around the farmers market on Saturday mornings in the spring. Later in the summer don't miss out on the fresh corn from nearby farms! There's a little something for everyone here - homemade goods, crafts, food & drinks and produce...
Farmers Markets
After checking out the farmer's market, jump on the katy trail and head south toward Frontier Park for a nice walk.
Katy Trail
One of my favorite things to do is walk around Frontier park and just take in the views from the banks of the Missouri River. The Katy trail runs through the park and Main Street is just a block away!
Frontier Park
A walk down Main Street is the perfect way to wrap up a morning in downtown St. Charles. Lots of shops and restaurants and plenty of history along the way!

The Bee is my favorite place to buy plants in the spring! They're only open April - May so make sure you stop in and get a few things to spruce up the yard!
