Looking to spend your weekend watching the best TV & movies, ordering food and not budging from the couch (or your bed. i don't judge)? Here are my current favorite things to watch.
One of my top 3 favorite TV shows. It's unique, beautifully shot and keeps you on the edge of your seat.
Severance (TV series)
Reminds me of TV shows from the 90s. No fuss, nothing fantastical or unbelievable. There's no unnecessary “drama” - the reality of life for those in the heath field(s) is all the drama you need. Incredible cast.
The Pitt
I'm a sucker for National Geographic shows. Especially ones that examine anything from the past. If you're looking for one episode to watch - watch the one titled “LA Doncella: on the Mountaintop”. It's incredible.
Ancient Bodies: Secrets Revealed
My husband is a teacher and we enjoy watching this lighthearted, VERY funny TV comedy together. The episodes are easily digestible (30minutes) and the every character is likable, complex and leaves you rooting for them.
Abbott Elementary
Mike White (director and creator) is a genius. I anxiously look forward to Sunday nights at 9PM. The locations, the scenery, the dialogue, the cast, the storylines - A++.
The White Lotus
Only available on Peacock… starring Amanda Seyfried. A really good, crime show thriller kind of series. I watched this in a day and it was worth it.
Long Bright River (TV Series 2025) - IMDb
This show is from a few years back, but I recently rewatched it and was GLUED to the tv. The cast is insanely good (obviously) and the characters are so beautifully developed and complex.
Big Little Lies (TV series)
Another Apple TV thriller. It can be a bit slow at times but overall, I give this a 9 out of 10. I love the dark, eerie editing and again, it has an All Star cast.
Silo (TV series)
I was a huge Wicked fan when it first came out on Broadway and I have to say… I love the movie even more. This is every musical theatre kid's wildest dream come to life. But, even if you aren't a theatre kid… I can guarantee you will walk away from t...
Wicked (2024 film)
One of the best documentaries I've watched in the past few years. Heads up… this is a political one. But it's an important one and its worth the watch.
This Place Rules
This is my favorite movie of all time, and I could watch it again and again. Tom, Penelope and Cameron are just too good. But the SOUNDTRACK? you'll find yourself downloading every song.
Vanilla Sky
Cinematography. Cast. Score. The locations. The costumes. Watch the first one, and then go watch the second one. Also, who doesn't love a movie with Zendaya?
Dune (2021 film)
Not a TV show or movie, but one of my favorite youtube channels / series on a youtube channel. My favorite episodes : Walton Goggins, John Batiste, Benny Blanco, Paloma Elsesser & Diplo.
Architectural Digest
One of my favorite documentaries. It's beautifully done, tragic and incredibly moving. Also, as a neurodivergent girlie … I really connected with the laser focused passion of Marc.
The Alpinist
It may seem weird to say this might be my favorite documentary given the content matter… but I have to. This sparked my interest in all things documentary. It's maddening, heartbreaking and leaves you questioning humanity.
Taxi to the Dark Side (2007) - IMDb
Harry Potter. All of them. I watch them all every year. Don't fight me. It's not for children. The movies are impeccably made no matter your age or gender.
