Learning a new language as an adult is NO JOKE. I moved to France almost a decade ago with zero French. I have since lived in Paris, Normandy, and Provence, and attained French nationality. Popular language apps such as Duolingo, Memrise, and Anki can help you learn a lot of French words…but can these really help you speak French in France? In my case, no.
