It’s imperative you have a quality rod and reel so you aren’t struggling to fix and untangle your line etc. I carry two rods and reels at ALL times. The first two are combinations are my personals, the rest I’ve used and are also quality!
My first rod is a 7’0 Bass Pro Shop-Pro Qualifier. Standard rod with a great feel and rod tip sensitivity to feel bites. But not lacking strength as well!

Same technology as my Curado Dc but priced a little more affordable, so you get the same casting distance and mitigate back lash at a lower price

There is many combinations that are sold together for a lower price that function great! Unfortunately they won’t have the technology that shamans has but they still work fine!

This section is HUGE portion of making sure you get bit! Remember, the way you finesse these lures and rigs determine how much the fish want to eat it. Practice!
Easily The most enticing soft plastic that I keep in my tackle bag, the Krackin Craw made by Googan baits. If the bite is hot or not this bait will get bitten if you finesse it right.

Bass love to eat small bait fish like shiners or shad, Crank baits mimic these bait fish movement and bass can’t help them selves to eat it if they swim past them!
Crankbaits
These work best for me if it’s a windy day and choppy water, somewhat chaotic day in the eyes of a bass. Put a soft plastic on the hook as a trailer bait, so when you reel it in the chatter vibrates and gets an impulse strike out of them!

I only use braided fishing line for a number of reasons, which are highly subjective! But one reason is the lack of stretch in braided line, so when you set the hook after a bite it keeps its integrity and the hook set stays strong!
