Life-changing. I can easily gather all my sewing pins and then have them in one place.
Magnetic Rose Red Wrist Pincushion & 100 Pins
A must have in my opinion. I cut out a lot of fabric with a mat and a rotary cutter. Fiskars is a great brand but I will also link the pink one I have that’s functional and cute!
Fiskars Cutting Mat - 12" x 18"
Also a necessity in my opinion. I use both fabric scissors and a rotary cutter but for super straight lines and cutting fabric this is my favorite tool.
Fiskars Ultra Lilac Loop Rotary Cutter
You don’t need a fancy seam ripper but you do need a seam ripper. I probably use one more than my sewing machine. The fancier ones are really just for added comfort.
Deluxe Seam Ripper
This is a need to go with the cutting mat. I use this every time I sew to measure and to line up my fabric. I cut along this ruler also to ensure straight lines.
Fiskars Sewing Ruler - 6" x 24"
I “organize” my thread in a large jar but for 1.99 I really should just buy a thread organizer like this one.
Thread Box
A great starter pack! The thread snipper is something I WISH I would have got a long time ago. This is a great piece.
Basic Sewing Tools
You really only need one pack of pins and one or two packs of clips. Use and reuse! And get a pin cushion or a magnetic pin holder (my fav!)
White Long Pearlized Pins
Get a good pair of fabric scissors. Fiskars is great for starting out. Do not use them for anything but cutting fabric because it will dull them quickly.
Fiskars Ultra Lilac Scissors
If this is in the budget these are the holy grail fabric scissors and the best on the market. My fiancé uses these in his line of work too. They’re an industry standard.
A good precision scissor. I don’t use these as much as my thread snipper but they’re great to have on hand.
Gingher 4" Embroidery Scissors, Chrome
I use clips more than pins honestly. Get yourself a bunch!
Incraftables Assorted Sewing Clips - Pack of 100
Loop turners are tricky but necessary for turning straps inside out. Look up a YouTube video for how to use! They’re easy once you get the hang of them.
10pcs Quick Turn Fabric Sewing Tools Set
Not a necessity by any means but I have these and they are helpful for keeping your fabric at the same seam allowance while sewing. Not foolproof but helpful.
3PCS Magnetic Seam Guide for Sewing Machine
If you want to do any kind of smocking or shirring you need this as your bobbin thread. It’s tricky to learn but watch a few YouTube videos and practice and then it’s super easy!
You are gonna break a few needles. Just get some extra. Also with different materials you need different types of needles.
Universal Sewing Needles - Size 10, 12 & 14
A good starter pack for a rotary cutter and mat. Love the color options! I think I have one super similar to this if not this one (I ordered a pack to make it easy!)
