This was my favorite place to visit at Penn State growing up as a kid visiting it! It’s been shut down, but I heard they’re bringing it back - so if it’s there while visiting this is the perfect place to stop at. It is a Penn State staple.
Baby's Burgers & Shakes
This was my favorite place to spend time at. They have great drinks, pizza, and live bands! You can take your dogs too!
Doggie's Pub
A Penn State clothing store staple! There’s also groceries you can buy inside.
McLanahan's Penn State Room
This is my favorite sushi restaurant ever! I highly recommend the spicy crab rolls!
Tadashi Japanese Restaurant - State College, PA
This was always my go to place at Penn State!

This is my favorite bagel place! The bagels, potatoes, smoothies, and coffees are amazing!
Irvings Bagels
This is the best breakfast place in State College! I highly recommend the chocolate chip waffles.
The Waffle Shop Downtown
This is one of my favorite places to go to! It has outdoor and indoor seating, good drinks, and good food. I highly recommend the buffalo chicken dip and the green apple Long Island pitcher!
Cafe 210 West
This is a great spot after a night out! I recommend the buffer zone with ranch.
D.P. Dough
This is a great spot after a night out. Located by the parking garage right by Doggies.
Halal Sher Gyro
A popular bar scene at Penn State. Their signature drink is a dirty sprite and if you have a group of people you can get a dirty sprite bucket.
Champs Downtown
One of the staple Penn State bars that are still there. On Wednesdays they have karaoke night called “Gaffeoke.” I recommend the pink lemonade pitcher.
Shandygaff Hours
You can’t go to Penn State without trying the Creamery ice cream! Their ice cream sandwiches are amazing & I highly recommend Keeney beany ice cream.
Penn State Berkey Creamery
This is my favorite ice cream place in State College. They have the freshest homemade ice cream!
Meyer Dairy Store
This was by far my favorite place to get general tsos at Penn State. It’s super good and comes with a lot of food.
Lychee Chinese Restaurant
This is a great restaurant to go to for dinner and drinks. I highly recommend you try a pornstar martini and an 814 cider. Their fries are amazing.
Central Reservation
This is a Penn State staple!
The Corner Room
This restaurant is outside, but close to State College. They have really good food. I recommend trying their hoagie!
Bonfatto's Italian Market & Corner Café
This has some quality Penn State merch! They have Lulu Lemon Penn State clothing here too!
