Restaurants
This was one of the best restaurants I’ve been to and it’s located in Murano where most of the glass is made! The staff was so kind. The chef wanted a picture with the Americans!
B Restaurant alla Vecchia Pescheria
A great restaurant! The food is great & has a beautiful view of the Rialto bridge!
Ristorante Rialto Sul Canallgrande
This was one of my FAVORITE restaurants in Italy. I had pasta & lobster 😋. It tasted divine.
Eat: La Lanterna Da Gas - Hello Petite Foodie - WordPress.com
This wasn’t my favorite restaurant, but the dessert looks amazing! I don’t think I’d come here to eat again, but I’d want to try the different desserts available.
Ristorante Le Café
Places to see!
Accademia is a beautiful town in Venice. There’s lots of shops and restaurants around here. I highly recommend staying in this area.
Ponte dell'Accademia
There’s a beautiful area with flowers in front of the church. It’s a beautiful view. The church also looks gorgeous inside.
Chiesa di San Vidal
The main location you should visit in Venice! They have beautiful landmarks, shops, restaurants, etc.
San Marco
This is a beautiful place to visit in Venice! If you’re into history & art you have to visit.
Doge's Palace
Another historical landmark in San Marco. It’s named after prisoners walking through the hall to the prison connected to Doge’s palace getting to see the outside world one last time.
Bridge of Sighs
Murano is an island of Venice where Murano glass is made! It’s cool to see all the shops, although it is probably more pricey than just purchasing Murano glass somewhere else.
Murano
A staple in Venice! Located in San Marco. The most beautiful view with a lot of places to stop at around it. Sells gold within the bridges stores.
Must-see in Venice: Rialto Bridge - Italia.it
There’s a stationary store in Venice that sells cute products like my little journal & pen. I used this to write about my trip!
Kartos - Fine Italian Paper
A beautiful church right by Suso gelato!
Madonna delle Grazie
I didn’t get to visit, but if you’re there for numerous days it would be a great spot to see. It is another island like Murano, but well known for its colorful homes & and lace making.
Burano
If you’re interested in history this would be a nice place to visit. If I had more time I would have went to see the history behind this area.
Jewish Quarter
Dessert
Suso is a well known gelato shop in Venice! It’s some of the best gelato I’ve ever had.
Suso
I loved the dessert at this restaurant! Every dessert I tried tasted amazing!
Ristorante San Trovaso
Bars
This was my favorite bar during the entirety of my abroad experience! The vibes & drinks are AMAZING!!!
Corner Pub
Place to stay
I stayed at two different places while in Venice, but the other one doesn’t compare. This place has a beautiful view & their breakfast was amazing! I highly recommend.
Pensione Accademia
This is where I stayed during my time with classmates. It wasn’t bad, but wasn’t as nice as the other hotel I stayed at in Italy. It was in a good location too.
Centro Culturale Don Orione Artigianelli
Transportation
You can get your own taxi boat if you don’t want to use the typical water boat transportation.
Venice Taxi Boat
The Waterbus had numerous stops & areas to get on and off. This is relatively cheap. I highly recommend. It’s like getting on the subway in NYC.
Piazzale Roma ACTV Vaporetti / Waterbus
You can find gondoliers all throughout Venice! Some will try to rip you off, but there are some that will let you just have a ride for a few minutes if too expensive. If you’re willing to spend the money you should do it!
Gondola Ride Venice
This was a pretty nice airport! Pretty sure it was a little smaller, but I didn’t have any complaints.
