Parks & Outdoor Play Places
We prefer small neighborhood parks in our family. Occasionally we will go to a larger park, but only with two adults. They can become SO crowded! Here is a list of our go-to spots.
This is our go-to neighborhood park as it's the closest to our house and school. There are no swings here, but there is a great “spinny thing”-- that's what my daughter calls it.
North Hills Park
This is the best large, fully ADA accessible park. We love the inclusivity of this park. It does get VERY crowded. We find it helpful to have 2 adults when we go.
Sassafras All Children's Playground
This is where my daughter learned to swing!
Kiwanis Neighborhood Center Park
This park is great for older and younger kids alike. Lots of shade.
Eastgate Park
check out the singing swings and outdoor movie nights!

This is such a hidden gem. Especially in the spring and early summer before it gets too hot!
The North Carolina Arboretum
This one opens in a few weeks but I got a sneak peek. It's simply incredible.
Gibson Play Plaza at Dix Park
Restaurants
There is no better pizza in Raleigh. Eat there for the ultimate experience.
Oakwood Pizza Box
One of our neighborhood go-tos. We've been bringing our daughter here since she was born, especially if we sit outside. Get the Papparadelle.
Vivace
our favorite for brunch and any time of day, really. Great kids menu.
Coquette
Fresh, high quality ingredients. Designed for families!
Gonza Tacos y Tequila
perfect spot to gather on warm days

An awesome children's museum. We've been members for years. I highly recommend their school's out and summer camps, too.
Marbles Kids Museum
We love their open drop in times. Recently, we've loved their Pop Up in North Hills, which is SO close to the house.
