Give me an impossible crime in a sealed room and I will cancel all my plans. These three had me drawing diagrams trying to figure out how it was done.

After reading these I looked at my partner across the dinner table and thought ‘what are you hiding?’ Each one takes a normal household and turns it into a crime scene.

Nothing beats that frantic feeling of accusing a new character every chapter. These kept me scribbling theories in the margins like a detective with a cork board and red string.

First-time authors writing mysteries this tight should be illegal. Each one made me furious that I had to wait for their second book.

Went in expecting setup for a long series and instead got completely wrecked by the first installment. Fair warning: you will immediately buy book two.
