I've got two picky kitties who were born in a brush pile on a farm in Jupiter NC. One is a majestic flooff of a black cat named Nishiki, and his brother is a handsome tabby named Kiryu. Neither of them let me use the bathroom in peace and quiet.

I was fortunate enough to get through Hurricane Helene without much damage to my house, but I was without power for a bit and without water for a longer bit. Here are some things that got me through it, or things I grabbed as a result of it. I HIGHLY recommend you keep some type of energy supplies on hand. You don't have to buy them all at once either. Keep an eye out for sales or purchase one thing at a time when you can. The top 5 things I think everyone should have: 1. Water + a dispenser is also helpful 2. Spare food for you and your pets 3. Emergency radio / communication sources 4. Lighting sources 5. Power sources And never let your gas tank be more than half empty!
