For a real taste of Italy in St. Louis head to Charlie Gitto’s. 4 decades of happy diners can’t be wrong. Located in the Hill, an Italian neighborhood known for its Italian food.
Charlie Gitto's On the Hill
The City Museum is one of the coolest museums I’ve ever visited. You won’t believe what you can find here. How about a school bus on the roof?

You’ll have a roaring good time at the St. Louis Zoo. Free admission. Get there early to park on the street in beautiful Forest Park. There is paid parking directly across from the Zoo.

Cool off on those hot St. Louis days with some Ted Drewes custard. If you’re lucky you’ll be there when they’re serving a Big Apple concrete (a slice of pie blended into custard). Yummo!

Catch a Cards game or walk around Ballpark Village to grab a bite to eat. It’s a very fun experience. Great people watching.

Saturday mornings are made for the Soulard Farmer’s Market. It is huge! Grab some fresh produce, bread and cheese and have a picnic in Forest Park.
Soulard Farmers Market
You’ll do a little jig when you enter this gem. Fantastic one room bar and outdoor patio. Sample the menu for your traditional Irish fare, a steak or pasta. In the urban Soulard neighborhood. Love it!
John D. McGurk's Irish Pub and Garden
I miss those burgers! We used to make a pit stop there when we went to the Botanical Gardens right down the street. A perfect ending to the day if you ask me.
O'Connell's Pub
The garden center is absolutely brimming with imports including statues, pottery and home decor. I still have many of their pieces inside and outside of my home. Very unique place to visit.

It wouldn’t be a visit to St. Louis without a trip to the Arch. The Gateway Arch National Park is equally nice. Check out the museum inside or take a ride to the top!

Free samples aren’t the only reason to go on a tour of the Budweiser factory. Seeing the Clydesdale horses is amazing, too.
Anheuser-Busch St. Louis Brewery
Take a step back in time for lunch or dinner. Enjoy the soda fountain, an iconic collection of Coca Cola products and the jukebox. You cannot go wrong with any dessert on the menu.
Crown Candy Kitchen
Small aquarium with big impact. Definitely worth spending a couple hours there. Super impressed with their use of technology.
St. Louis Aquarium at Union Station
My first impression of Forest Park was watching people play frisbee in their shorts in February. The place is huge with a Butterfly House, a museum campus and more. Worth a drive through at the least. Also home to the St. Louis Zoo.
Forest Park Forever
If you like Provel cheese on your pizza you will LOVE this. If not, skip it but it doesn’t get any more St. Louis than this.
Imo's Pizza
Our favorite place to cool off when you’ve been on the go. Stroll the science center and rejuvenate watching an educational movie on the big, big, big screen.
Omnimax Theater
Start your day with classic diner food in the heart of St. Louis. Some things don’t have to change and that’s good thing. Excellent standard breakfast.
