TBR
The books I’m hoping to get to this year, as part of a personal goal I set for myself to read 25 by the end of the year.
My next read will be The Lord of the Rings trilogy—perfect for the dreary winter months. Planning to follow it with The Hobbit once I finish.
The Lord of the Rings 3-Book Paperback Box Set - by J R R Tolkien
Wuthering Heights has led me to Jane Austen. I have somehow never seen the film, so this will be my next read before I watch book.
Pride & Prejudice (Masterpiece Library Edition), (Hardcover)
I know, I know, I should have read this before 'The Maidens' but I didn't. The description didn’t catch my attention quite as much, but I have been promised that 'The Silent Patient' is excellent.
Silent Patient - by Alex Michaelides (Paperback)
After reading The Maidens and adding The Silent Patient to my TBR this book naturally had to be added. The description and plot of The Fury definitely caught my attention.
The Fury - by Alex Michaelides (Paperback)
Since becoming a mom I love a good parenting book! I'm hoping to love this one as much as I loved Bringing Up Bebe.
Hunt, Gather, Parent - by Michaeleen Doucleff (Hardcover)
I am looking forward to this novel by Riley Sager. I really enjoyed Home Before Dark during spooky season.
Final Girls: A Novel
I love love love a Kristin Hannah novel, and this one comes highly recommended from one of my book buddies.
The Four Winds - by Kristin Hannah (Hardcover)
For obvious reasons - this needs to be my next winter read.
Winter Garden: A Novel (Paperback)
I can't read The Lord of the Rings trilogy without following up with The Hobbit. I am so excited for this fantasy series.

The books I have finished so far in 2026 and would absolutely recommend!
The Housemaid was such a fun read. A little suspenseful, a little sexy, and a whole lot thrilling. I do plan to let this book be a one and done as far as the series is concerned, though.
The Housemaid (Paperback)
I ate this book up. It gives moody fall/winter vibes if you're looking for a murder mystery seasonal read.
The Maidens|Paperback
I never thought I would read literature from the 1800's but the latest rendition of the film caught my attention, and I wanted to read before watching. This book has opened up a whole new world of reading for me.
This murder mystery takes place during the 4th of July - making it a perfect summer read.
Old Money - by Kelsey Miller (Hardcover)
not for me
Not bad—just not for me.
I typically love books that fall into the category of self help, self improvement, business, finance, etc but this one didn't scratch that itch for me. I do know someone who has listened to this author speak though, and said he is incredible to liste...
The Happiness Advantage - by Shawn Achor (Hardcover)
