I may not be the most avid reader but the books that I love are loved a lot!
A beautiful gothic horror novel. Wonderful writing, incredible description that will leave you feeling icky in a great way. I can't wait to see an adaption of this on the screen some day.
"Mexican Gothic" by Silvia Moreno-Garcia
This is a must read book in this age of technology and human disconnection. I knew Hank Green would write a great book, but I had no idea how absolutely remarkable it would be, even if the title tried to tell me.
"An Absolutely Remarkable Thing" by Hank Green
Go into this without knowing anything! This book is a wonderful surprise that way. But if you listen to the audiobook, you will need to know it's duel perspectives and might need to relisten to a chapter or two in order to pick up on which one is whi...
"This Is How You Lose the Time War" by El-Mohtar & Gladstone
Yes, another by Siliva Moreno-Garcia. I actually put this one above Mexican Gothic on my list of hers that I've read thus far. I find both of the main characters to be endearing, and following their journal is a joy. This is a magical realism adventu...
"The Beautiful Ones" by Silvia Moreno-Garcia

"A Beautifully Foolish Endeavor" by Hank Green
If you're looking for a good October read, this is the first book I'm going to suggest. I've actually read it two years in a row, the 2nd time as the first pick of an LGBT book club. We all enjoyed it and I can't wait for the sequel, currently schedu...
"Cemetery Boys" by Aiden Thomas
This was another book that I read in an LGBT book club and it's yet another magical realism book that I really enjoyed. I look forward to reading the sequels as well.
"A Marvellous Light" by Freya Marske
