Lisbon is a scenic city with rolling hills of pastel buildings and terra cotta roofs. One of the main draws is the amazing viewpoints across the city. Read more about them in my blog: https://travelingnature.com/best-views-in-lisbon-city-of-hills/
Map
My favorite place in Lisbon to hang out and listen to a street musician.
Miradouro de São Pedro de Alcântara
The highest miradoura (viewpoint) in Lisbon.
Miradouro da Senhora do Monte
A cool place to walk around with 360 degree views.
Castelo de São Jorge
This is Belem, next to the Tagus River. Great views from the top of it and less crowded than the Belem Tower.
Monument to the Discoveries
I did an incredible land, sea, and sky tour where I went up in a helicopter over the Tagus River and Lisbon. Fabulous tour overall.
The Tour Guy
This miradouro is not as high which gives a closer look at the buildings.
Miradouro do Torel
Great place to stop for a snack or meal. You can jump off the Tram 28 right next to it.
Miradouro das Portas do Sol
A pretty garden with lovely tiles. There was a great guitar and drum duo there when I was there.
Miradouro de Santa Luzia
The inside and outside architecture is stunning and it has a spacious rooftop terrace.
National Pantheon
Great sight to tour with amazing blue and white tiles. The roof gives you an up close look at the architecture and a great view of the city and river.
Home - Mosteiro de São Vicente de Fora
Pretty church and great view from the west side of the city. Pay the extra to see the nativity scene.
Basilica of Estrela
Designed by an admirer of the Eiffel Tower. If the lines are long, you can get to the top through the streets behind it.
Santa Justa Lift
Great cocktails. On the Avenida de Liberdade, my favorite street to walk in Lisbon.
SEEN Sky Bar
Cool rooftop bar on top of a parking garage.
Park Rooftop
Not the best view in the city, but worth going up. The cathedral is impressive.
