Joan Didion is my favorite American author without a doubt and a classic. This novel is so honest, real, and at times dark with a look into her losing her husband. It to this is one of the most beautiful things I’ve read.

This book has me weeping a few times. It is wonderfully thought out and written in a way that has you second guessing the same way the narrator is. I was always rooting for these two in the book, always.
