Beach House (Debut Album)
their first album! it has some really musically interesting songs, but i do recommend starting with some of their other work first!
the texture of this song is so beautifully aching. it has an interesting static-y synth pad that contrasts with the flowiness of the rest of the song.
Beach House – Apple Orchard Lyrics
another classic beach house song. this song is certainly embodies the defining sound that’s permeated the rest of their discography. so so good
Beach House – Master of None Lyrics
Devotion
this album is a bit more consistent with what we hear in later projects! there are truly some hidden gems in its tracklist
the production on this song is so hypnotizing and it has some really interesting moving parts and rhythms!
Beach House – Gila Lyrics
ok tambourine!
Beach House – Home Again Lyrics
Teen Dream
many people’s favorite for good reason! it has really good replay value and it’s the first album where their current style really takes hold
this song is so catchy and has a flow and bounciness that is somewhat rare in their discography
Beach House – Used to Be Lyrics
one of their most well-known songs! this song hurts so good, and it was also sampled on “money trees” by kendrick lamar
Beach House – Silver Soul Lyrics
Bloom
this is another solid album with some really atmospheric and vibey songs. the front half is particularly wonderful
this song is everything i love about beach house: grandiose production, a dreamy-yet-driven chorus, and haunting vocal melodies
Beach House – Myth Lyrics
one of my personal faves! it builds throughout the whole song and ends with some beautiful lyrics
Beach House – Wishes Lyrics
Depression Cherry
this could very well be their magnum opus. this album is near-perfect and one i would eagerly recommend to anybody!
probably the most well known beach song, BUT it’s well known for a reason! it has such an ethereal and emotional atmosphere to it
Space Song - song and lyrics by Beach House
the production on this song is so interesting and vibey—also i love the chorus so much
Beach House – Wildflower Lyrics
Thank Your Lucky Stars
this album is often overlooked, but super underrated with some really unique sounds throughout!
this song is so groovy and has a more rock feel to it with a light bit of grit. if you’ve heard “cruel world” by lana del rey, this song is a beach house equivalent
Beach House – One Thing Lyrics
storytelling song with an interesting video game feel in its production. it sounds sorta like old DS games from the 2000s
Beach House – Common Girl Lyrics

i really love this album, and it embodies a particular nighttime vibe that is captivating. i also think there is a lot of sonic diversity throughout the project
my personal favorite beach house song. the intro is so perfect and the chorus is some of their best work in my opinion. the lyrics also really speak to me
Beach House – Drunk in LA Lyrics
this song is so unique because it repeats this synth part that sounds like an odd car boot-up noise. i don’t know if that makes sense, but it sounds super cool
Beach House – Black Car Lyrics
Once Twice Melody
this album is huge, with four “disks” that were released one by one. i included a song from each one! it’s definitely a bit bloated, but if you have the time, it’s a worthy listen!
the beat on this song is so cool. HARPSSSSS. parts of it remind me of the end of “i didn’t change my number” by billie eilish
Beach House – Pink Funeral Lyrics
really cool and poetic lyrics! feels quite organic compared to some of their more electronic stuff
Sunset Lyrics - Beach House
this entire song feels slightly muted as if it were playing through a vintage speaker! really unique vibe
Runaway - song and lyrics by Beach House
the meaning of this song feels so bittersweet as you grow older—really gets you to think about how you spent your younger years, as well as what it takes to say goodbye to them
