Clothes
Full coverage for your face, ears, and neck, avoid black or dark shades to keep cooler longer.
Boonie Hats
Wrap around your forehead to soak up sweat but it can also be used to cover your nose and mouth if the wind starts blowing dust everywhere.
Headband / Neck Gaiter
Lighter and more versatile than a long-sleeved shirt, quickly take it off when its not needed. Plus, it's excellent protection against scratches on overgrown trails.
Compression Arm Sleeves: Benefits & Uses
Soak it and store in a ziplock bag to use later.
Cooling Towel
Nutrition
The sweet and tart variants are the best, wakes you up and gives that sugar boost when you need it.
Nerds Clusters
Bring a small packet or two to replenish lost electrolytes. Also has a decent amount of carbs to keep your energy up.
Tailwind Nutrition
Dense enough to keep you full, and it survives a hot day better than a chocolate bar.
Clif Bar
I prefer the unsalted pack. This avoids making you drink more water than planned.
Almonds
Gear
Its frivolous but a lifesaver when the air is humid and the wind isnt blowing.
Jisulife Fan
I prefer bringing 3 to 4 flasks instead of a large bladder mainly because its easier to clean and dry at home. For variety, you can store different liquids in each flask (ex. water, juice, etc)
Soft Flasks
For the longer hikes, lets you refill straight from a stream without worrying about what's in it.
