If you’re headed to the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex with your kids, these are spots that are so much fun for the whole family!
Map
Truly one of the best zoos we’ve ever been to! It’s very spread out, so be prepared to walk a lot!! Clean bathrooms and fairly affordable food options!!
Fort Worth Zoo
Twice a day cattle drives at 11:30 and 4:00! So much fun for adults and kids alike! Check out the Texas Cowboy Hall of fame or let your kids test their skills on the mechanical bull!
Fort Worth Stockyards
My daughter is obsessed with this one! Something to do for all ages. Make sure you check out the dinosaur exhibit and try to outrun a simulated T Rex in the sports hall.
Perot Museum of Nature and Science
Probably the biggest aquarium we’ve ever been to. We love the setups for all of the different animals. They’ve done an awesome job of showcasing ecosystems.
The Dallas World Aquarium
Admittedly, we’ve only ever done the Christmas and Easter trains, but they are so much fun! Once you’re done with your train ride, explore historic downtown Grapevine! It’s so cute and charming.
Grapevine Vintage Railroad
This one is nostalgic for me! I grew up in west Texas, so a trip to DFW to school clothes shop was always such a treat! I was always so fascinated by the ice skating rink. I love that it’s open to the public for anyone who wants to try!
ICE at The Parks
Yes, it’s pricey. But I think they’ve done a fantastic job at keeping the park clean. The wait times are manageable, and they’ve really done a good job to ensure all minors need an adult present!
Six Flags Over Texas
The absolute BEST!! They do a great job at keeping shows engaging for your little ones! My daughter is a HUGEEE fan!
Casa Mañana Theatre
Pricey and seasonal, but an INCREDIBLE experience for ALL!
ICE! at The Gaylord Texan
We prefer the Fort Worth zoo, but that’s the side of the metroplex we live on. If you’re in Dallas, this is a fantastic option.
