After learning that my oldest has autism, I thought this list could those parents who have recently gotten a diagnosis on their child. I provide links to some articles and toys that can help you make your journey a little easier.

When my 3 year old got diagnosed with Autism, the psychologist recommended this page. This page has helped answer most of my questions, and has helped me understand a lot more of what autism is.

Calming corners are great to put in the house. This helps your little one with winding down after a sensory overload.

Sensory
These bins help your child explore, learn and create while also getting their sensory fix. This helps my little one a lot when he starts to sensory seek.
I know parents are so against playdoh sometimes because of the mess lol, but this helps with their sensory overload, imagination and color identification. I love how much this small thing can make a child happy.
Waterplay is one of the things I always suggest because it relaxes the child so much in so many ways. This table gets your little one intrigued for awhile
Wall climbing walls are the best for kids.
Playroom tents are great for a calming corner for any child. You can put in their favorite toys, books, pillow and blankets for quiet time.
Relaxing and calming toy. Helps you child stimulate their sensory nerves and help reduce their anxiety.
This lets the child control their sensory experience. It has options for colors, sounds and volume depending on how sensitive your child is. It brings 3 games to engage and other tools to help with their motor skills. This is a must have!
Sleep help
Weighted blankets help your anxious child sleep better through the night. The weight of the blanket should be about 10% of the child's weight. It keeps them warm, and the weight gives them comfort like if someone is hugging them.

Travel/outings

These help cancel out loud noises and it's great for kids with sound sensitivity. We use these especially on the 4th of July.
