We stayed here for 28 days and it was great. Walking distance to the beach, 5th avenue, grocery stores, parks, and yet just far enough away from the nightlife. (We travel with a 5yr old)

Playa 88 was a nice public beach. There is shade if you get there early enough to claim a spot, and there is a cenote area that is great for kids!
