This list is for books that have a LOT OF HYPE. Are those books ultimately worth it? I suppose if it makes this list I think it is worth it.
If you have time to read a 900 page book (or listen to it!) then you will enjoy this. I didn't enjoy it as much as people I know, but I did enjoy it.
Lonesome Dove: A Novel
Worth the hype TO ME. This one is getting more haters recently, but anything that becomes this popular is bound to catch haters.
Yesteryear: A GMA Book Club Pick: A Novel
Worth every hype every time. So sweet.
The Correspondent: A Novel
Yes, people aren't wrong. This whole series was worth it.
Those Who Leave and Those Who Stay
Again, yes. The whole series.
The Story of a New Name
This series is on every single “best books ever” list. I finally picked it up and, I have to say, they aren't wrong. The first one wasn't as good as the others in my opinion, but altogether, wow!
My Brilliant Friend
WORTH THE HYPE AND THEN SOME
Demon Copperhead: A Novel
Percival Everett can WRITE. This book was a top of the year for me.
James (Pulitzer Prize Winner): A Novel
Worth the hype. Read it.
The God of the Woods: A Novel
This book had a lot of hype because it has an incredible adaptation. It deserved the hype. Andy Weir is a gem of a writer.
