Design Tools
Favourite design tools I use daily.
Primary design tool I use daily at work & personally for wireframes, mockups, prototyping, and dev handoff. I love Figma's auto-layout. I tried Adobe XD before and was really glad our company switched to Figma eventually.
Figma

Notion
There's other AI tool like Claude, Perplexity, etc but I always gravitate using ChatGPT more.

I have been using Canva since university. Have not really explored all the features since I mostly use this to create presentations, social media posts, & videos. The templates were a lifesaver during my uni days.
Canva
Only used this for personal projects, but I enjoy using this tool for sprints, brainstorming, and more.
Miro
I used this platform once for a game project. It was a nice platform for getting research insights.

Communities
Communities that shaped my design career.
First design community I joined after graduating. One of the largest community & they were helpful in terms of my career journey. I'm also one of the volunteer leads here :)
Design Buddies
I recommend joining this community to be exposed to the Philippine design community. Most of the events we organise are in Metro Manila but sometimes we do events in Visayas & Mindanao.
UXPH
Amir created the biggest game resources. I really like that this website contains job list, mentorship, career guidance, & more for free.
