I am officially two months postpartum and am finally ready to start being active again. Well more active than I am because I do chase a toddler around and am breastfeeding which is a workout in itself. I am also unfortunately one of those kinds of people who tell the world they are ready to workout and then find myself sitting my butt on the couch with a glass of wine at 9pm at night realizing that I never did workout despite changing into my workout clothes in the AM. If you can relate to that, then let's make a promise to each other right now. We don't have to workout everyday, but let's try and start working towards that. Let's turn the annoyance of working out into a thing you wake up every morning to do. I want this list to be an interactive promise to one another. If you find a workout or a pair of leggings, new shoes, etc. that helped you get on your feet, comment on this post so I can add it to the list. Let's help each other be our healthiest - and I'm not just talking about physical workouts. Let's also get our minds healthy and be a better version of ourself than we were yesterday.

Exactly one week ago as I write this, I was sitting in my hairdresser's chair saying yes to a bob haircut. At exactly 5:15pm, we cut 6 inches off my long wavy hair to give me a chic shoulder length bob. Half of you are probably saying, “you fell for the trend” while the other half are saying “YES welcome to the club.” Regardless of which one you are, I'm one week post hair chop and learning to discover some secrets on how to love the bob after that first wash.

As I write this, I am 8 weeks postpartum with my second child. My body has already begun to bounceback, but with little time to really exercise these days, it's still got a long way to go. One thing you should know about me is that I love fall - specifically fall fashion, but thanks to these last 10 lbs that are hanging on, i've found that i'm not quite as excited for the season this year. Instead of going out and buying new clothes that will be too big in a few weeks, i've decided to make my 2025 fall fashion look go with the vibe, “basic but never boring.” What is that? It's where you rock the 20 basic tees and jeans that you have in your closet, but instead of saying you look boring, you embrace the minimalist and style it up with a flannel, oversized sweater, cute bag, statement jewelry, and of course the shoes.

If you were to ask me what my favorite season is i'd without hesitation answer FALL! I love everything about an oversized sweater fit to PSLs and even reading an exciting thriller. I ALWAYS look forward to the season, but that's usually because I'm looking forward to relaxing after a busy summer. That's not so much the case this year. This summer was not a great one for me - sure we got to move into our new construction home that we have been working on since 2024, but it was the summer my daughter spent almost a month in the NICU after being born 5 weeks early. With all that stress, I forgot to actually enjoy my summer. I missed out on going to the beach, on reading summer romances, and even just enjoying a walk in the evening summer sun. It's my hope that with this list, I can bring the missed summer season with me into fall.

Baby girl Hicks is almost here and the nesting stage has officially kicked in! Whether you are a first time mama or are having your second, third, etc. I hope this list is helpful! Honestly, I could make a list that has 100s of items on it, BUT I wanted to keep it short and sweet and try to hit mostly NEWBORN items. I have separated the list into categories for easier browsing. As a mom of a toddler boy, I have used/tried almost everything I recommend. If you have questions about anything, please know my DMs are always open! Being a mama is a beautiful thing, but it can also be overwhelming. If you feel that way and just want someone to vent to, my DMs are also a no judgement zone.

For those who don't know, my husband and I are finishing up a new construction home this August! Thanks to also having a baby at that time (putting us at two kids!!) we have decided to furnish our house with affordable finds from Wayfair. As a Wayfair Creator, this seemed like a non-brainer for a number of reasons. One, commission (of course) and mostly because it is a cost effective option as far as inevitability of it getting destroyed thanks to kids and pets. Updated makeup list for the summer months where the sun is shining but we still need our face to stay on. These are my tried and true and ones that I actually reach for on a daily basis!

With so many new makeup drops happening - it's hard to keep track! Here's a list of what i've tried and ones I recommend! And what i'm wearing this spring!

I have naturally wavy hair that I spent most of my life hating. Now I love it and that's all thanks to proper hair care. My favorite brand of all time is Crown Affair which is why you will see most of their lineup in here. I have tried almost all of them! Dae Hair is another great brand. For context, my hair type is wavy and fine though I would say I have a decent amount of hair. I do wash my hair everyday and I apply heat about half the time.

I turned my guest bedroom into my own library room meets creator space meets home office. I painted the walls white and added a gallery wall of some of my favorite Etsy prints. I love reading, retro vibes, and coffee (of course). I did the digital download for most of these prints and had them printed.
