these are things that helped me feel more like myself when I was newly postpartum and feeling awful. my recovery from giving birth was terrible, but I’m glad I had these things to help me.
Any robe would be nice, but I treated myself to this one before I gave birth. It’s so comfy and the pattern reminded me of patterns from the early 2000s.
Women’s Bell Sleeve Plush Robe
I also treated myself to some new towels before giving birth and I’m glad I did. These are really nice and have held up well.
Performance Plus Bath Towel
This is a more random item. My mom suggested this after I gave birth and I loved using it. It’s the simple things that make a difference.
Medicated Body Powder Talc Free
I tried a few different types of postpartum underwear and these were the most comfortable. These are great for when you’re ready to stop using the ice pads, but still need something more than regular underwear.
Always Discreet Postpartum Underwear
These are so comfy! Not as much protection as the Always underwear, so I wore these after I felt like I was done with those.
Frida Mom Disposable Postpartum Underwear Boy Shorts Briefs
Take as many ice pads as you can from the hospital and have a box of these ready to go at home. I tried other brands of these and the Frida Mom ones worked best for me. I had an awful birth so I needed these for quite a while so I definitely feel lik...
Frida Mom Instant Ice Maxi Pad
These are just like Tucks, but easier to use. I loved these.
Frida Mom Perineal Witch Hazel Cooling Pad Liners
If you don’t want the liners, you can use these on your ice pads. The hospital will provide you with a container of these to start with.
Tucks Medicated Hemorrhoidal Pads
The hospital will provide you with a bottle of this as well. Maybe get another bottle just in case you need it. I felt like I went through the first bottle pretty quickly.
Dermoplast Pain Relief Spray
I didn’t like the Frida Mom peri bottle so this one might be better. I liked the one from the hospital the best.
Dr. Talbot's Peri Bottle
Can’t go wrong with cozy socks!
Women's Solid 2pk Cozy Low Cut Socks
I just wore pajamas for the first couple of weeks. Comfort is top priority!

I didn’t realize how much my hair was going to drive me crazy once I had a baby. I always wear it up now because it’s easier that way. At least theres cute hair ties!
Kitsch Ultra Petite Satin Scrunchies
I’ve used this for years and it really works. It takes about 3 months to notice a change in your hair, but the wait is worth it. I’d start using this before giving birth, but if you start it afterwards it should still help with postpartum hair loss. ...

I love this brand. I normally wouldn’t spend this much money on hair care, but I was pretty desperate when I started to experience postpartum hair loss a month after giving birth. After having a traumatic birth, I had no energy to do really anything ...

One of my friends recommended this to me. I started taking this 2 months postpartum and it only took about a month to see hair growth. It’s pricey but the confidence boost this product provides is priceless.
