These are all books with a lot of illustrations throughout the pages to keep shorter attention spans engaged. These have all been favorites in our house!
Mercy Watson is a pet pig who gets into trouble. Your child will be asking for toast “with a great deal of butter” as you read through these. Short, full color illustrations, this is a great series to start your chapter book journey!

Dory has an incredible imagination and these books are hilarious. Note: these might not be for everyone due to some language choices. However- my child is utterly obsessed.
Dory Fantasmagory by Abby Hanlon 9780147510679
These are very short books with full color illustrations. We love Cynthia Rylant. Poppleton and his friends are funny and sweet.

A classic for a reason! The Apple TV adaptation is great, too. Very true to the story and vibe.

We have the Yoto cards for this series, about a girl who takes care of magical creatures in need of help. A lot of great, accessible science content in these too!
