Fav Western WA Campgrounds

These are campgrounds I've stayed at multiple times each, and they're all by the water!

Remote, but maybe the most beautiful campground in Western Washington. SO many beaches to explore, and close to the Hoh Rain Forest.

Makes for a nice day trip, or a great campground stay. Cranberry Lake has fishing access and a nice swim area too. Loud fighter jets get be seen (and definitely heard!) from the the Naval Air Station nearby in Oak Harbor.

Flowing Lake offers spacious campsites, a large swimming area, big playground and large dock for fishing. This was a family-favorite campground growing up, and has been well-maintained over the years.

What we love about camping at Birch Bay is how easy it is to bike around the campgrounds and the waterfront.

A bustling part of city that faces the Seattle skyline, but is tucked away in a quieter neighborhood of West Seattle. And this beach has actual sand, not just rocks! People in the Northwest can appreciate how rare this is :)
Alki Beach Park

Charming waterfront beach that includes a historic lighthouse, walkable beachfront and nice playground for kids. Fun to watch the ferry boats come and go too!

This park is gorgeous and has a really nice play structure for kids. There are also walking trails nearby that connect to the campground.
